Primo Formenti
Primo Formenti was born in Palazzolo sull’Oglio (Brescia) in 1941, where he still lives and works. His artistic career began in the 1960s in Paris, immersed in the cultural ferment of the time, an experience that deeply influenced his exploration of color and matter.
In the 1970s, he joined the “E” group, developing a painting technique similar to fresco, with works characterized by abstract themes such as Giocando, Le Donne, Manifesti Immaginari, and Rapporti. Between 1987 and 1996, he collaborated with the group Disarmonie Espressioniste, founded by Daniela Palazzoli and Giovanni Repossi, creating compositions in which color, matter, and object alternated in a dynamic balance.
Particularly significant are his Steli, large painted wooden forms where geometric structure coexists with a dense yet nuanced chromatic texture. Since 1997, he has dedicated himself to Racconti, works where narration becomes abstract, and he has also experimented with glass art, where chromatic elements interact through bold lines and woven textures.
His solo exhibitions have been held in major cities in Italy and abroad, including Milan, Venice, Rome, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Vienna, Chicago, Paris, Brussels, Barcelona, Zagreb, and Rio de Janeiro.
Primo Formenti is an artist who uses painting as an inner voice, exploring the world with sensitivity and depth. His works, poised between figurative and abstract, matter and transparency, offer intense and intimate visual experiences, where light, color, and gesture merge into a language that is coherent yet constantly evolving. He does not merely represent: he interprets, transforms, and suggests, creating paintings that speak of memory, silence, and anticipation, synthesizing Italian pictorial tradition with contemporary experimentation.
Featured in numerous exhibitions and private collections, he continues his artistic journey with consistency and renewed inspiration, faithful to the principle that painting is research, necessity, and life.

Luigi Basile
Luigi Basile was born in Crotone in 1981, in the land of the ancient promontory of Magna Graecia. From an early age, he showed a strong inclination for drawing and manual arts, inspired by his mother’s tailoring craft.
After graduating from the Istituto Statale d’Arte in San Giovanni in Fiore (CS), specializing in Goldsmithing and Metal Arts, Basile deepened his skills in copper repoussé, later refining his sculptural techniques under the guidance of Master Antonio Cersosimo. His personal research harmoniously integrates copper, oil on canvas, bronze, and marble, giving life to a unique artistic language that bridges tradition and innovation.
Since 1999, he has developed a path marked by experimentation and refined material sensitivity. His works, often based on the copper-oil combination, stand out for their surprising chromatic effects obtained through controlled oxidations and for their rich, tactile textures. The human figures depicted in his works are not simple silhouettes; they create dynamic, sinuous, and vibrant compositions capable of conveying deep emotions and sparking reflection in the viewer.
His exhibition career has led him to present works in major Italian and international cities, including Milan, Rome, Paris, Shanghai, Munich, Monte Carlo, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. His creations are part of both public and private collections in Italy and abroad. In December 2023, he took part in the prestigious Premio Artista d’Europa, presenting the work The Immensity of the Duomo (50×60 cm) at the Teatro San Babila in Milan, receiving a certificate of merit. The piece reflects his ongoing exploration of human figures united by movement and spirituality.
On October 13, 2022, Basile fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening his own Art Gallery in Legnano (MI), Via Roma 131, where he presents his personal works alongside commissioned projects ranging from heraldic design to monumental custom creations.
Luigi Basile is an artist who blends artisanal tradition with a contemporary vision, creating material, emotional, and narrative works that leave an indelible mark on the hearts of those who behold them.
